Schnell und komfortabel funktioniert der neue Remote Twistloc Lock-Out Hebel von RockShox. Ein Hebel ist es nicht wirklich. Das System erinnert an die SRAM Gripshift The TwistLoc uses a GripShift-style twisting barrel to pull 10mm of cable and hold it taught. This works with SRAM’s remote-compatible forks and shocks, like the new SID, to lock them out. A small release button lets the cable go and puts your suspension back into its open state, ready to absorb bumps. This Poploc Remote Lockout replacement lever is suited for RockShox suspension forks with mechanically lockout. Not compatible with RockShox Motion Control suspension forks later than 2013! So you want a remote lockout but you don’t want to give up your shifter-style dropper remote. And you definitely don’t want to add another paddle that might result in locking your suspension instead of dropping your seat. Plus a cluttered cockpit is a sign of a cluttered life. Don’t give your friends the wrong impression. With TwistLoc, RockShox is here to help. I know what lockout does but I'm not sure what it is used for and if I will need it. Thanks. Update: We're good now. It's been 6 years (Holy crap) since I've posted this. I'm definitely fully aware of lockout. I've also realized my Rockshox Recon Silver lockout is actually 100% lockout since there's a buffer

And just to make sure you don’t accidentally twist things back to open, there is a button to press when returning to full-squish. The grip is compatible with all trigger-style dropper remotes and any shock with a cable-actuated remote lockout. TwistLoc will cost $110 and be available for purchase in June. For a hybrid style bike (that is a very general term, btw) I personally would worry that it's just one more thing to go wrong. If I were you, even if I liked the idea of a remote lockout I would consider it a bonus feature but I would by no means base my purchase choice on it.
Considering the Rockshox Reverb has a hydraulic remote system, it’s unlikely we’ll see a twist-style dropper remote from Rockshox. But, we’ve long thought a twist-style dropper remote would be brilliant. We’re thinking some creative tinkerers might be able to remove the catch mechanism in these or a GripShift remote and use them as such. SID SL is an out and out race fork, it gets 32mm stanchions, 100mm of travel, a 44mm offset, comes for 29ers only and interestingly has an alloy steerer rather than carbon with Rockshox saying they focused research on alloy crown. Bringing the range inline with current Pike, Lyrik, SID et al for 2019 (yes, it is only February!). RockShox has been pretty busy of late. The limelight might be on the more glamorous forks in RockShox's ever increasing range but that doesn't stop the suspension brand from constantly wanting to improve its lower level forks in turn
There was also a strong demand from Germany for a Pike fork with a remote lockout. As a commuter, you may find yourself stopping normally for various traffic intersections. It is at this point you could make an adjustment to lock or unlock the front fork before continuing the next section of your route.
The CTD (climb, trail, and descend) or 3-pos DPS (Open-Medium-Firm) remote lever from Fox resembles a lockout lever that you would typically find on a bike, but the two cables connected to the front fork and rear shock a bit unique. The lever controls both at the same time (when used with the splitter (PN - 803-00-817). The larger lever lets the rider go from descend to trail and then to climb. The XLoc damper remote lockout uses a specific hydraulic hose that is compatible with the system's Reverb™ Hydraulic Fluid. • Do NOT use hydraulic brake fluid or mineral oil in the XLoc system. Only use Reverb Hydraulic Fluid. • Do NOT use hydraulic brake bleed tools to bleed the XLoc system. Only use the RockShox Standard Bleed Kit The lockout device on rockshox forks designed to be used with a remote lever are a totally different set up. It is essentially a spring actuated wheel that is grooved so that you can run the cable. I just bought a 2019 Trek Top Fuel 9.8 with this component and have about 200 miles on it. On paper and in this review it sounds great but in reality it just will not hold up to regular trail riding. Mine stoped working < 30 days. Trek is warranting it and replacing it with another remote altogether. Google it and u will see that a-lot of people have the same problem. Bad reviews as far back as 2016 so RockShox has know about it for years and still sells it.
. We ride our bikes to work and around town. We ride our bikes in the peloton, on the trails and down the mountains. It's this passion and participation that leads to many of the innovations seen in our products. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do Pros: A decent fork for the price, very smooth, adjustable rebound, and remote lockout Cons: A bit heavy and not very durable Recommendation: A good choice if you want something better than the stock your bike came with but not for real heavy use, have had this for 1 and a half seasons and the lockout and adjustable rebound are both shot. I just had it lubed but its starting to bind Remote lockout just means that there is a toggle on your handlebars to lock the fork. The 3 modes you described (locked, XC, DH) are settings on the fork itself (no remote button). You can still lock the fork (no travel), set it to XC (which is probably a reduced amount of travel), and DH (full travel avail) Bottomless Tokens allow you to easily custom tune your air-spring performance to best match your riding style and suspension preference. Adding the easy-to-install Bottomless Tokens changes the air-spring curve to resist bottom-out after a big hit, giving aggressive riders the power to attack the trail harder. Removing Bottomless Tokens makes the air-spring curve more linear, enhancing suspension feel for certain types of terrain or trail condition and ensuring riders who are less front-end aggressive benefit from 100% of their fork’s travel.

I haven’t specifically tried it with a dropper, but it would be pretty easy to remove the ratchet from the old 9s grip shifters. You’d be relying on the post’s spring to release tension. An innovative handlebar mounting suspension switch, the TwistLoc Remote allows you to control your forks and shocks with minimal effort, for maximum performance. Easy To Use Suspension Remote Coming in two parts (the remote and the handlebar grip), this brilliant RockShox component works as the name suggests - a twist of the remote locks your. No, unfortunately. Even if your dropper is compatible with a 10mm cable pull, here’s why you can’t use it for your dropper post: Because it locks into place to hold the fork or shock in its locked-out state. You have to press the release button for it to return. On a dropper, that means it would lock into the “open” state and the post would return to full height as soon as you got off the saddle. Rock Shox XC30 TK with Remote Lockout: The XC range is the lowest of the Rock Shox range. The XC 30 is a coil sprung fork that weights in at about 2200grams. 2 kilos in mountain bike terms is nothing short of heavy as hell. That aside the XC 30 is a functional fork that requires little maintenance and is found as a standard component on many. If you love lockout, Rock Shox makes a similar fork with remote lockout for about $40-50 USD more. Yes, you need a shock air pump, or a friend/shop who has one. However, that is part of tuning the shock to your body weight, frame geometry, and riding style

SID Ultimate A remote lockout system is a lockout fork which can be controlled by a dial placed upon the handlebar of the mountain bike. The advantage of a remote lockout system is that it isn't necessary to get off of the bike to engage the lock. On a variety trail, with lots of ups and downs, this can be really helpful. These can even be installed for.

SRAM TwistLoc Lockout Remote Issues I know the Trek TF uses this remote with various forks/shocks, both Fox and RS, and that it also comes on the 2019 Blur TR with Fox fork and shock. The Blur I am picking up had to have the grip replaced while taking it for a ride around the shop, it wouldn't stay open What is 'remote' lockout and opposed to normal lockout? Or perhaps I should ask that the other way around. Friz's answer suggests that 'remote' is the dial(s) on the top of suspension forks. I thought that was normal. I have a RockShox Monarch RL (100mm) on my Giant Anthem 2015 and am looking to upgrade this with a shock that has a remote lockout There are two problems with suspension lockouts these days. I've never had a bicycle with front suspension before but to me it seems like a no brainer to get remote lockout. I expect to have the suspension locked on my daily commute, but I know several places on my route where I would think having an unlocked suspension would be nice.Out of the last 5 forks i have had, all had a lockout, but only one with the remote. While the remote is convenient, I have never found it difficult to reach down and lock out on the fork while riding.
